The diversity of Bavaria is also reflected in the leisure time activities that the State offers. The stunning landscapes and the beautiful nature are easy and fast to reach from any large Bavarian city. The mountains invite to go hiking, climbing, mountain biking or, in winter, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or ski touring. Numerous lakes offer water sports enthusiasts and those who love to swim refreshment and cooling or the opportunity to go for a walk while enjoying the scenery.
Bavaria has an almost endless selection of sights to visit: the Zugspitze with its 2,962 metres (9,718 ft.), Neuschwanstein Castle or the many beautiful old towns - Bavaria has something for everyone. Lovers of culture won’t have to miss out either. The many museums or exhibitions are worth a visit at all times.
The evenings can be spent at one of the trendyclubs or at one of the many traditional village fairs and folk festivals; above all at Oktoberfest, which takes place in Munich once a year, commencing – contrary to its name – in September.
In Bavaria, work and life, family and leisure time can thus be perfectly reconciled.
